Barnabás joined PortfoLion in 2024 as a Junior Financial Controller, working as part of the CFO’s team. In this role, he is responsible for the valuation and controlling of reporting processes across portfolio companies, as well as the preparation of financial reports for the Investors.
He holds a BSc in Engineering Management from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), where he was also a member of the leadership at the BME College for Advanced Management Studies. He later earned an MSc in Finance from Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), with a specialisation in the finances of multinational companies. During his BSc studies, he worked at MOL as part of the finance team on an IT transformation project. Later, while completing his MSc, he gained further experience in the SME sector, supporting financial operations for start-ups and early-stage companies.
Outside of work, Barnabas enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his tireless ever-moving dog, Nala. He is also passionate about traveling, cooking, and staying active through workouts and hiking.
