Donát Simon

Donat is an Investment Analyst in the early-stage venture capital team at Portfolion, joining in early 2025 after roles at the Boston Consulting Group, Morgan Stanley, and MOL Group.

At BCG, Donat was a core team member on the most comprehensive research of the CEE insurance market to date, and helped test and develop new AI tools for case use. As part of his studies, Donat conducted award-winning research on corporate resilience, earned the National Higher Education Scholarship, and completed an exchange semester at Goethe University Frankfurt. In Frankfurt, he studied startup law and social innovation, gaining insight into the emerging startup scene in one of the continent’s most influential business hubs.

Donat speaks four languages and enjoys projects with social impact, particularly those that bring exciting disruptions. He values upholding Hungarian traditions and likes working on practical, hands-on tasks whenever he gets a chance.
